IN Residency: Courtney Storer

January 5 - January 8, 2023

Join us for a weekend of delicious, homemade Italian feasts by Courtney Storer and friends at Yeti, Gozney, Taylor Shellfish Farms, & La Dive Seattle. Known for her exemplary cooking talent & leadership in the kitchen, Courtney will work with local and invited featured vendors to showcase the best produce of the seasons and some of her longtime treasured top quality products. Perfect for a start to the new year there will be handmade pastas, seafood, marinara sauce and more that showcases Courtney's love for her hometown Chicago and Italian Roots. She wants to bring some of her favorite trattoria staples to Captain Whidbey's using local specialties of the Pacific Northwest. The wine and whiskey will be flowing, sparking connections with old and new friends. Foodies from Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles – start the year off right and get to know Courtney and her immeasurable talents.

If Courtney Storer’s life sounds like an episode of The Bear, it’s no surprise. She’s the culinary producer of the hit show, which was created by her brother, Christopher Storer. Courtney, a Chicago native, was drawn to the restaurant industry as a teenager, but had to lie about her age to snag her first job. She grew up stuffing cannolis, running food and working the door at beloved family-owned restaurants all over the Chicagoland area. She later wound up working in HR for Fortune 500 companies right out of college. Unable to shake her love for hospitality and food she chose to attend culinary school at night on a whim and never turned back. After working at Verjus and Buvette in Paris and then as the Culinary Director for Jon & Vinny’s, the critically acclaimed Los Angeles restaurant, she has since branched off. In February 2020, she launched Coco's To Gogo; a brand dedicated to her favorite Italian nostalgic foods reimagined through her eyes.
